Hydro geological/geophysical survey:
This comprises of a detailed study of the available hydro-geological & Geo-physical data, existing boreholes data, and other relevant information. Analyses of this data give a general understanding of the water bearing formations at the study site, and approximate depth of the aquifers. The best drilling site and the approximated borehole depth will be determined and the results submitted in factual reports, for issuance of drilling Authorization by the Water Resources Management
Drilling Authorization:
This is issued by the water resources management Authority (WRMA) through various regional offices on the recommendation of the geologist through the hydro-geological survey report.
Environmental Impact Assessment Report & Licence:
The purpose of the EIA is to ensure that all likely potential impacts (Negative & Positive) on the general ecosystem that might arise from developing the project are predicted and, mitigation measures included in the project design. The reports are forwarded to National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA). The Licence will be granted to allow drilling to i proceed, when NEMA is satisfied that the project will have no significant impact on the environment.
